The NHL fans among you probably think I’m talking about Lord Stanley’s Cup. I’m not…sort of.

I’m speaking of the McCloud Family Fantasy Cup, the annual NHL playoff adventure between three of my cousins and me. We’ll select 5 forwards and 2 defensemen from each conference, awarding 3 pts. per goal, 2 pts. per assist, and a bonus point for OT goals.

Cousin Seth won the first two years (’03, ‘04), and Keith returned from the NHL’s year-long lockout to win in ‘06.

This year, I’ve got a plan. Tomorrow I’ll post the team I’ll be relying on in order to get my name etched on the Stanley Cup replica trophy. We’re using LiveOffice for our free teleconferencing (only charge is that of a long distance phone call to Duluth MN).
